Šárka Benedová is a Czech-born interdisciplinary artist
based in Oslo, Norway. With a background in dance,
music, and performance, she primarily creates site-
specific works that activate public spaces and challenge
traditional boundaries between performers and
audiences.
She holds a BA in Contemporary Dance & Pedagogy
from the Music and Arts University of Vienna and has
furthered her studies in Portugal and Norway.
As co-founder and manager of Kunstgrillen, an
interdisciplinary ensemble, Šárka leads and collaborates
on projects that merge dance, music, and acrobatics,
transforming everyday spaces through artistic
exploration.
Alongside her collaborative work, she explores the
relationship between sound and movement through her
ambient saxophone project, Swan on a Leash.
Supported by Arts Council Norway, Stavanger Kommune,
and Rogaland Fylkeskommune, her work has been featured
in festivals and residencies across Europe
